Jaipur, February 16, 2026: A shocking incident at Jaipur International Airport has raised concerns over passenger safety after a stray dog attacked a woman traveler near Terminal-2 on Sunday afternoon.

According to officials, the woman, who had arrived from Delhi, was exiting the arrival area when the dog suddenly bit her on the leg, causing bleeding and panic among people present at the scene. Airport staff and bystanders immediately rushed to help and informed authorities. She was provided first aid at the airport and later taken to a nearby private hospital for treatment. After receiving medical care, she was discharged.
The incident reportedly occurred around 2:20 PM outside the arrival gate. Eyewitnesses said the attack happened suddenly, leaving little time for anyone to react before the woman was injured.
Vaccinated Dog, But Questions Remain
Officials confirmed that the dog involved in the incident had already been vaccinated and sterilized by the Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC), reducing the risk of serious infection. However, the presence of stray animals inside a high-security zone like an airport has triggered fresh questions about safety arrangements.
Authorities Promise Action
Airport authorities stated that steps are being taken to prevent similar incidents in the future. Measures include strengthening the airport’s perimeter fencing and coordinating with municipal teams to control stray animal movement within the premises.
Officials also noted that stray dog management and vaccination drives are already underway in the airport area, but additional precautions will now be implemented following this incident.
Security Concerns Raised Earlier Too
Reports indicate that this is not the first time stray dogs have been spotted in the airport vicinity, prompting recurring concerns over passenger safety. The latest incident has renewed demands for stricter monitoring and improved infrastructure to prevent animals from entering the airport zone.
