Jaipur, 11 November 2025: A high-profile dispute between two IAS officers from Rajasthan has come to light after officer Bharti Dixit filed an FIR against her husband, IAS officer Ashish Modi, at a Jaipur police station. In her complaint, Dixit has alleged domestic violence, physical assault, threats, and mental harassment. The incident has sparked significant attention due to the couple’s senior administrative positions.
According to the FIR, Dixit has claimed that her husband assaulted her on multiple occasions and allegedly tried to strangulate her during an argument. She further alleged that Modi accessed her electronic devices without consent and monitored her communications. The complaint also mentions emotional pressure, threats, and attempts to influence her decisionmaking. Dixit stated that Modi frequently pressured her for separation and used his position and influence to intimidate her.
Reports suggest that the couple married a few years ago after both became IAS officers. They were perceived as a well-known bureaucratic couple in administrative circles. However, according to the complaint, personal disputes escalated over time, eventually leading to the police involvement and filing of the FIR. The case has now been registered and the investigation is underway.
Police officials have confirmed that the FIR has been lodged and that statements are being recorded. Further action will be taken based on evidence gathered during the investigation. As of now, Ashish Modi has not issued any public response to the allegations. No official reaction has yet been shared by the Rajasthan government or the IAS association.
The case continues to attract widespread attention due to the involvement of two serving IAS officers, and further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
