New CCTV Footage Reignites Jaipur Schoolgirl Death Case; Parents Allege Bullying Was Ignored

Jaipur, July 10, 2026: Fresh CCTV footage released by the family of a nine-year-old student who died after falling from a school building has brought renewed attention to one of Jaipur’s most debated school safety cases. The child’s parents allege the footage shows repeated bullying inside the classroom and claim their daughter’s attempts to seek help from her teacher were ignored in the moments before her death.

Jaipur Schoolgirl Death Case

The incident occurred on November 1, 2025, when the Class 4 student, Amaira, died after falling from the fourth floor of Neerja Modi School. Police initially registered the case as a suspected suicide, while her family has consistently maintained that prolonged bullying and institutional negligence led to the tragedy.

CCTV Footage Raises Fresh Questions

The newly released classroom CCTV footage, accompanied by a narration from Amaira’s family, allegedly captures the events leading up to the incident.

According to the family’s account, the video shows Amaira entering class normally, greeting classmates and participating in classroom activities before her behaviour changed. They allege that several students repeatedly targeted her during class and that she appeared increasingly distressed. The footage reportedly shows her approaching the class teacher multiple times, seemingly seeking assistance, before leaving the classroom alone.

The family claims that no teacher or staff member immediately followed the child after she exited the classroom and that she was able to reach the fourth floor of the school building without intervention.

Parents Allege Long-Term Bullying

Amaira’s parents have alleged that their daughter faced repeated bullying for nearly 18 months and that complaints made to the school administration were not addressed adequately.

They say the newly released footage supports their long-standing claim that their daughter repeatedly sought help from teachers but received no effective intervention. The family has also questioned the investigation and has demanded stricter legal action against those they believe were responsible.

Police File Chargesheet

According to reports, Jaipur Police have filed a chargesheet naming the school’s owner, principal and the class teacher under provisions relating to alleged criminal negligence. The family, however, has argued that stronger legal provisions should be invoked and has sought further accountability from the school management.

The investigation remains before the court, and the allegations made by the family are subject to judicial examination.

CBSE Inspection Flagged Safety Concerns

Following the student’s death, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted an inspection of the school and reportedly identified several shortcomings in student safety measures.

According to reports, the inspection highlighted concerns including:

  • Lack of a dedicated safety and security committee.
  • Inadequate monitoring of CCTV cameras despite a large student population.
  • Absence of protective safety barriers on upper floors.
  • Alleged deficiencies in anti-bullying mechanisms and child safety protocols.

Renewed Demand for School Safety Reforms

The release of the CCTV footage has reignited public debate over student safety, anti-bullying policies and accountability in educational institutions.

Parent groups have called for:

  • Stronger anti-bullying policies in schools.
  • Better classroom supervision.
  • Mandatory counselling support for students.
  • Enhanced CCTV monitoring and campus safety measures.
  • Faster investigation and legal action wherever negligence is established.

Investigation Continues

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding Amaira’s death. The newly released footage has intensified calls for a thorough and transparent inquiry, while the case has once again highlighted the importance of child safety, effective anti-bullying systems and timely intervention within schools.
