Jaipur Murder Case Takes New Turn: Family Alleges Law Student Also Linked to Father’s Death

Jaipur, July 11, 2026: The sensational Jaipur murder case involving a 23-year-old law student accused of plotting her mother’s killing has taken a dramatic new turn. Family members have now alleged that the accused, Ayushi Sharma, may also have been involved in the suspicious death of her father, Vijay Sharma, who died last year under circumstances they are urging police to re-examine.

The fresh allegations come just days after Jaipur Police arrested Ayushi Sharma and several others in connection with the alleged contract killing of her mother, Neeraj Sharma, a government employee. Investigators have alleged that the murder was motivated by a dispute over family property and the possibility of obtaining a compassionate government job following her mother’s death.

Uncle Seeks Probe Into Father’s Death

The latest development emerged after Rakesh Sharma, the maternal uncle of Ayushi Sharma and brother of the deceased Neeraj Sharma, approached the police demanding a fresh investigation into the death of Vijay Sharma.

According to the complaint, the family suspects Vijay Sharma’s death in 2025 may not have been natural and has requested investigators to examine whether there is any connection between the two incidents. The allegations are based on the family’s suspicions and have not been established by investigators.

Mother Murder Case Already Under Investigation

Police allege that Ayushi Sharma conspired with relatives and hired contract killers to murder her mother in exchange for approximately ₹7 lakh, with the crime allegedly staged to resemble a road accident.

Investigators claim the motive was twofold:

  • Gaining control of valuable family property.
  • Becoming eligible for a government job on compassionate grounds following her mother’s death.

Police have arrested multiple accused in connection with the alleged conspiracy, and the investigation is continuing.

Family Claims Pattern of Suspicious Deaths

Speaking to the media, Rakesh Sharma alleged that the circumstances surrounding Vijay Sharma’s death also deserved closer scrutiny. He has urged authorities to investigate whether his death was linked to the same alleged motive involving inheritance and employment benefits.

At present, these claims remain allegations made by family members. Police have not publicly confirmed any evidence connecting Ayushi Sharma to her father’s death, and no charges have been filed against her in relation to that case.

Police Yet to Confirm New Allegations

Jaipur Police have not officially concluded that Vijay Sharma’s death was a criminal act. Officials are expected to examine the family’s complaint, previous records, and available evidence before deciding whether a fresh investigation is warranted.

Investigators are currently focused on gathering forensic evidence, financial records, electronic communications, and witness statements in the ongoing murder case involving Neeraj Sharma.

Case Continues to Shock Rajasthan

The case has attracted widespread attention across Rajasthan due to the nature of the allegations and the reported motive. Authorities allege the accused planned the murder of a close family member to secure financial and employment benefits, while the latest accusations regarding the father’s death have added another layer of complexity to the investigation.

Legal proceedings in the mother’s murder case are ongoing, and investigators have indicated that additional evidence may emerge as the probe progresses.

Investigation Ongoing

Police continue to investigate the alleged conspiracy behind Neeraj Sharma’s death. Whether the investigation will be expanded to include Vijay Sharma’s earlier death will depend on the evidence gathered during the inquiry.

Note: The allegations regarding Vijay Sharma’s death are based on a complaint filed by family members. Police have not confirmed any criminal involvement in that death, and no court has established these allegations. The investigation remains ongoing.
