Hyatt Regency Jaipur Faces Backlash After Hotel Staff Allegedly Enter Guest Room, 6-Year-Old Left in Tears

Jaipur, January 16, 2026: A Jaipur luxury hotel is under scrutiny after a Delhi-based woman alleged that two staff members entered her family’s hotel room without permission, leading to a distressing incident involving her young niece and sparking debate over guest privacy and safety protocols.

The incident is said to have occurred on January 12 at the Hyatt Regency Jaipur Mansarovar when the family had booked eight rooms during a weekend stay. According to the woman, identified as Janhavi Jain, the room in question had already been cleaned earlier in the day and no housekeeping or turn-down service was requested at the time of the alleged intrusion.

Jain alleges that two hotel staff members used a master key to enter room number 3808 between 6:30 pm and 7:30 pm while most family members were out for dinner. Moments later, her **six-year-old niece walked into the room and found **the two unknown adults inside, causing the child to run out crying.

In her social media post on X (formerly Twitter), Jain described the event as a serious breach of privacy and basic guest security. She questioned how hotel staff could enter an occupied room without consent or notice, and raised concerns about the potential risks, especially for children.

Jain also criticised the hotel’s response when the family sought clarification. She claimed that two staff members identified as a security supervisor, Naveen Singh, and another employee named Akshay, were unable or unwilling to provide clear explanations. According to her account, the hotel reportedly refused to share CCTV footage of the incident. She even alleged that the general manager’s response was dismissive, saying: “toh kya ho gaya agar enter ho gaye” (So what if they entered).

The post has gained widespread attention online, amassing millions of views and triggering sharp reactions from social media users. Many have raised questions about guest safety standards at five-star hotels, while others debate whether routine hotel practices such as evening turndown services might have been involved.

The Hyatt Regency has reportedly engaged with the guest through the comments section of the social media post, asking for further details, but has not issued a detailed public statement addressing the core allegations at the time of reporting.

This incident follows similar concerns raised earlier this month regarding guest privacy in another luxury hotel in Rajasthan, underlining growing public scrutiny of hospitality standards across high-end properties.
