Jaipur, March 9, 2026: Popular folk singer and Bihar MLA Maithili Thakur became emotional during a visit to the historic Govind Dev Ji Temple in Jaipur, Rajasthan. A video of the moment, where she was seen singing a devotional bhajan and wiping tears from her eyes, has quickly gone viral on social media.
According to reports, Thakur visited the famous Krishna temple during her Jaipur trip. While sitting among devotees, she joined in singing a traditional bhajan. The spiritual atmosphere of the temple, filled with devotional songs, bells, and clapping by devotees, deeply moved her and brought tears to her eyes.
In the viral video, Maithili Thakur can be seen softly singing the bhajan “Aaj To Naveli Radha Goral Poojan Aayi Chhai…” as the devotional environment intensifies. The emotional moment occurred when she was immersed in the bhakti-filled atmosphere of the temple.
Later, Thakur shared her experience on social media, saying that she had never felt such a spiritual connection before. She wrote that the divine atmosphere of the temple and the sound of bhajans and temple bells touched her heart so deeply that she “could not control her emotions,” adding that it felt as if the burden on her heart had suddenly been lifted.
Reports also say that the singer-turned-politician visited the temple along with her brothers Rishabh and Ayachi Thakur during her Jaipur tour. Devotees present at the temple witnessed the heartfelt moment as she continued singing while tears rolled down her cheeks.
The Govind Dev Ji Temple, one of Jaipur’s most revered Krishna temples, attracts thousands of devotees daily and is known for its powerful devotional atmosphere.
