Elderly Man Dies After Neighbour Dispute Over Bus Parking in Jaipur, CCTV Footage Goes Viral

Jaipur, April 2, 2026: A 68-year-old retired bank employee died after a heated argument with neighbours over parking a tempo traveller in a narrow residential lane in Jaipur. The incident, which was captured on CCTV, has sparked widespread discussion after the video surfaced on social media.

Neighbour Dispute Over Bus Parking in Jaipur

The incident took place on Tuesday morning in Patrakar Colony on Patel Marg, under the jurisdiction of the local police station. According to preliminary reports, the dispute began when a neighbour brought a tempo traveller into the lane, reportedly to send passengers on a trip to Ujjain.

Argument Escalated Into Physical Scuffle

Police said the deceased, Vijendra Singh, objected to the large vehicle entering the narrow lane outside his house, fearing it could damage property and block the passage. The objection led to a verbal argument between Singh’s family and the neighbour’s family.

As tensions escalated, the argument reportedly turned into a physical scuffle. During the altercation, Singh lost his balance and fell to the ground. Witnesses said he collapsed and became unconscious amid the chaos.

Family members rushed him to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared him dead on arrival. Initial reports suggest he may have suffered a heart attack during the confrontation, though the exact cause of death will be confirmed after the post-mortem examination.

Incident Captured on CCTV

The entire episode was reportedly captured by nearby CCTV cameras, and the footage has since circulated widely on social media platforms. The visuals show the confrontation between the two sides moments before the elderly man collapses.

The video has triggered strong reactions online, with many users expressing shock that a minor neighbourhood dispute could escalate into a fatal incident.

Police Detain Neighbour and Driver

Following the incident, police detained the neighbour and his wife for questioning. The tempo traveller driver involved in the incident was also taken into custody for investigation.

Authorities said they are examining CCTV footage and statements from witnesses to determine the sequence of events and whether any criminal charges should be filed.

Local Residents in Shock

Residents of the area said the lane is quite narrow, and disputes over vehicle movement and parking have occurred in the past. However, locals said they never expected the disagreement to end in such a tragedy.

The incident has once again highlighted how minor neighbourhood disputes can quickly escalate into serious conflicts, prompting calls for better mediation and community awareness to prevent such situations.

Police said further action will be taken after reviewing the post-mortem report and CCTV evidence.
