Jaipur, October 25, 2026: The Rajasthan Congress has stepped up preparations for the upcoming INDIA bloc mega rally scheduled to take place at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi on November 1. A meeting of senior Congress leaders, MPs and MLAs was held in Jaipur on Sunday to discuss the mobilisation of party workers and arrangements for the rally.
Congress General Secretary (Organisation) K. C. Venugopal attended the meeting at the Constitution Club in Jaipur. The discussions focused on strengthening coordination among party leaders and ensuring significant participation from Rajasthan in the upcoming demonstration.
Senior Congress Leaders Attend Meeting in Jaipur
Several prominent Congress leaders participated in the meeting, including former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee President Govind Singh Dotasra, Leader of Opposition Tikaram Jully and Congress leader Sachin Pilot.
Rajasthan Congress in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, co-in-charge Poonam Paswan and National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) national president Vinod Jakhar were also present.
The meeting was convened to review preparations for the November 1 rally and coordinate efforts to bring party workers from different parts of Rajasthan to the national capital.
Congress Plans Large-Scale Mobilisation for November 1 Rally
The Congress is preparing for a major show of strength at Ramlila Maidan, where INDIA bloc parties plan to organise the ‘Save the Vote, Save the Country’ march and mega rally.
Speaking to reporters in Jaipur, Venugopal said the INDIA bloc expects a massive turnout, claiming that 10 lakh people would participate in the rally. He emphasised the need for collective efforts by senior leaders and party workers to make the programme successful.
The party is seeking participation from different sections of society, including students, farmers, labourers, women, young people and traders.
Electoral Roll Revision at the Centre of Protest
The proposed rally is part of the INDIA bloc’s campaign against alleged irregularities in the electoral process, particularly the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

Congress leaders have raised concerns over alleged voter-list irregularities and called for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The party maintains that protecting voting rights and ensuring free and fair elections are central to its campaign.
These allegations and demands form the political backdrop to the planned demonstration. The Election Commission’s position should be considered separately when assessing the parties’ claims.
Congress Leaders Call for Strong Participation from Rajasthan
Rajasthan is expected to play an important role in the Congress’s mobilisation efforts because of its proximity to Delhi and the party’s organisational presence across the state.
Senior leaders are working to coordinate participation from different districts and strengthen communication between state-level leadership and local party units.
The Jaipur meeting marks an important step in the party’s preparations ahead of the November 1 gathering. The scale of participation from Rajasthan will become clearer as the organisational arrangements progress.
With the rally approaching, the Congress is focusing on building momentum around its campaign on electoral transparency and voting rights, while the INDIA bloc prepares for a significant political demonstration in the national capital.
