Jaipur, January 25, 2026: Jaipur, the Pink City known for its regal heritage and architectural splendor, played host to the 27th edition of the Vintage & Classic Car Exhibition and Drive, drawing automobile enthusiasts, collectors, tourists and families from across India to witness an extraordinary celebration of motoring history. The two-day event, organised by the Rajputana Automotive Sports Car Club (RASCC) with support from the Rajasthan Tourism Department, brought over 100 rare and historic automobiles to the lawns of Taj Jai Mahal Palace and the streets of Jaipur.

A Showcase of Automotive Heritage
The exhibition, open to the public with free entry, featured an impressive array of vintage and classic vehicles, including iconic models such as the 1913 Ford Model T, Austin Chummy (1923), Rolls Royce (1934) and other prized automobiles spanning several decades. Many of the cars on display date back more than a century, offering visitors a rare glimpse into the evolution of automobile design, engineering and style. Collectors brought their prized vehicles from cities such as Delhi, Gurugram, Chandigarh, Mumbai and various parts of Rajasthan itself.
The historic backdrop of the Taj Jai Mahal Palace enhanced the visual splendour of the display. Crowds gathered to admire the meticulously restored machines, capturing photographs and engaging with owners who shared stories of passion, preservation and restoration. The 1913 model car, in particular, became a buzz among onlookers, drawing the biggest crowds eager to see one of the oldest vehicles at the event.
Flag-Off, Parade and Motorised Heritage Drive
On January 25, the rally portion kicked off with a ceremonial flag-off from the Taj Jai Mahal Palace lawns. Rajasthan’s Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari inaugurated the rally, personally taking a ride in one of the vintage cars and underlining the event’s cultural and tourism value. The motorcade then rumbled through key landmarks of the city, including MI Road, Statue Circle, Ambedkar Circle and Janpath, before returning to the palace grounds, turning Jaipur’s streets into a living automotive museum for spectators.
Celebrating Legacy and Craftsmanship
Following the drive, an awards ceremony was held to recognise excellence in preservation and originality, with categories across Vintage, Classic and Modern Classic. Dignitaries and automobile aficionados gathered to honour owners whose cars stood out for their historical significance, rarity and restoration quality. Esteemed figures from the automotive community, including collectors and restoration specialists, also lent prestige to the event.
Preserving Automotive Artifacts and Promoting Tourism
Organisers emphasised that beyond being a showpiece, the rally serves an important role in safeguarding India’s automotive heritage while boosting cultural tourism in Rajasthan. In a city already famed for forts, palaces and vibrant traditions, the vintage car rally adds another dimension to Jaipur’s appeal, blending history on wheels with the city’s timeless charm.
The 27th Vintage & Classic Car Rally stands as a testament to nearly three decades of passion, with its humble beginnings in the mid-1990s growing into one of India’s most anticipated automotive heritage events, where every polished chrome and gleaming fender tells a story of a bygone era.
