Jaipur, 14 Dec 2025: The Vardhman Group has landed in fresh trouble after Jaipur Police registered an FIR alleging land fraud worth over ₹20 crore, days after the Income Tax Department conducted raids at multiple locations linked to the group. The case has intensified scrutiny of the company’s real-estate dealings and financial practices.
According to the police complaint, the Vardhman Group and its associates allegedly conspired to illegally grab prime land in Jaipur using forged documents. Investigators say fake agreements, manipulated records and false ownership claims were used to transfer and control the property, causing massive financial loss to the original landowners.
The FIR has been registered under serious sections related to cheating, criminal conspiracy, forgery and use of forged documents. Police officials confirmed that the complaint was filed after preliminary verification of documents recovered during and after the recent Income Tax raids.
Sources said the disputed land deal is valued at more than ₹20 crore, and the accused allegedly attempted to regularise ownership through fabricated paperwork. The complainant claimed that despite repeated objections, the group continued construction and financial transactions on the land.
This development comes close on the heels of Income Tax Department raids, during which crores of rupees in unaccounted cash were reportedly recovered from premises linked to the Vardhman Group, including offices operating from an educational institution. Authorities are now examining whether the alleged land fraud is connected to the financial irregularities unearthed during the tax investigation.
Police have begun summoning key individuals associated with the group for questioning. A senior officer said, “The case involves large-scale financial fraud. We are examining documents, bank transactions and property records to identify the full chain of conspiracy.”
Legal experts say the FIR could lead to multiple arrests and attachment of properties if the allegations are substantiated. Further action will depend on forensic document analysis and financial trail mapping.
The Vardhman Group has not yet issued an official statement on the FIR. Meanwhile, both police and tax authorities have indicated that parallel investigations will continue, and more cases could follow if additional irregularities are discovered.
The case has once again raised concerns over land-related frauds in Jaipur and the need for stricter verification of property transactions to protect buyers and original landowners.
