Flights Disrupted at Jaipur Airport Amid Global Software Fix on A320 Jets

Jaipur, 29 November: Air travel at Jaipur International Airport faced major disruption on Friday, with more than a dozen flights delayed and three flights cancelled at the last minute developments linked to a global safety alert affecting Airbus A320 family jets.

According to airport officials, the cancellations included evening-slot flights to and from Ahmedabad and Indore, even as other flights experienced delays ranging from 30 minutes to over an hour.

The disruptions come in the wake of a worldwide directive issued by the plane manufacturer Airbus after a recent incident involving an A320 flight abroad. The directive requires immediate software corrections or in some cases hardware realignments for all A320-family aircraft before they can resume service.

In India, several leading carriers including IndiGo and Air India Express are carrying out the mandated updates, resulting in partial grounding of their A320 fleet a development airlines warn may lead to further delays or additional cancellations in coming days.

Passengers travelling to or from Jaipur have been advised to check their flight status directly with airlines before heading to the airport. Airlines and airport authorities said they regret the inconvenience and are working to restore regular schedule integrity as soon as the required safety checks are completed.
