Jaipur ACB Catches SI Rajkumari Juneja Accepting ₹1.25 Lakh Bribe

Jaipur, 20 November: In a significant anti-corruption operation, the Anti‑Corruption Bureau, Rajasthan (ACB) has arrested Sub-Inspector Rajkumari Juneja of the Gandhi Nagar Police Station, Jaipur for allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹1.25 lakh while investigating a case.

According to the complaint, SI Juneja demanded ₹2 lakh from a person accused in a case involving cheating, breach of trust and forgery, in exchange for filing a favourable Final Report (FR). The ACB verified the complaint, laid a trap and arrested Juneja immediately after she allegedly took the first installment of ₹1.25 lakh.

ACB Director General Govind Gupta stated that the matter is being investigated under the Prevention of Corruption Act. He noted that, as of now, there’s no evidence implicating other police staff at the station.

In a statement, Superintendent Suresh Swami of ACB said the arrest was executed as part of a planned trap operation supervised by ACB DIG Anand Sharma. The entire amount seized from Juneja’s possession has been recovered.

The accused will be produced in court, and further searches and tracing of any accomplices or network will be carried out as part of the investigation. Juneja has been formally charged and proceedings have begun.

This case underscores the ongoing efforts by anti-corruption agencies to clamp down on misuse of official power and bribery within law enforcement in the state.
