Jaipur Airport Launches AI-Powered ‘Lost & Found’ System to Resolve Passenger Issues in Seconds

Jaipur, 18 Dec 2025: Jaipur International Airport has introduced a cutting-edge AI-based automated ‘Lost & Found’ system aimed at transforming how lost belongings are traced and returned to passengers making Jaipur the first airport in India to roll out such an advanced solution for traveler convenience.

The new system, powered by artificial intelligence, promises to address one of the most stressful aspects of air travel misplaced or forgotten luggage and personal items. According to airport officials, the technology minimizes delays and confusion by quickly identifying lost items and helping passengers recover them efficiently.

How the AI System Works

Under the new setup, AI-enabled cameras deployed across the airport capture photos and details of items found within the airport premises, automatically logging information such as location, date, and time into the system. When a passenger reports a lost item either through the airport’s website, mobile app, or at designated counters the AI matches the report with existing data to pinpoint the exact whereabouts of the item.

During its trial phase of about three months, the system helped reunite more than 85 % of lost items with their owners, underscoring its effectiveness and accuracy.

24/7 Availability and Passenger Convenience

The AI-enabled lost and found service operates round-the-clock across both terminals, ensuring passengers can check the status of their belongings at any time. Those who have misplaced items can access real-time updates and tracking through the airport’s digital platforms or directly at the airport counters.

Airport representatives highlighted that this technology not only provides speed and reliability but also enhances overall passenger confidence, offering a smarter and more transparent way to handle lost items.

A Model for Future Airports

With Jaipur International Airport taking a pioneering role in deploying AI solutions for passenger services, airport officials have hinted at further digital innovations to improve travel experiences. The success of the AI-based ‘Lost & Found’ system could serve as a model for other airports in the country planning to adopt similar smart technologies.
