Jaipur, May 8, 2026: The Pink City became the centre of national defence discussions and military tribute events as Defence Minister Rajnath Singh visited Jaipur to mark the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor, a major military operation carried out by the Indian Armed Forces.
The high-profile visit included the release of a documentary film, a joint commanders’ conference, and strategic discussions focused on future warfare capabilities and national security.
Film on Operation Sindoor Released in Jaipur
During his visit to the Jaipur Military Station, Rajnath Singh released a 27-minute cinematic tribute based on Operation Sindoor. The film honours the courage, precision, and dedication of the Indian Armed Forces during the military operation.
According to the Ministry of Defence, the documentary reflects India’s commitment to protecting its sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.
Joint Commanders’ Conference Held
The visit also coincided with the second edition of the Joint Commanders’ Conference held in Jaipur under the theme “Military Capability in New Domains.” Senior officials from the Army, Navy, and Air Force participated in discussions on modern warfare, cyber security, space defence, and future military strategies.
Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan and senior military commanders attended the conference alongside defence officials and strategists.
Focus on Joint Warfare and Modern Technology
Military leaders highlighted India’s increasing emphasis on joint warfare capabilities and integration among the three armed forces. Discussions reportedly focused on emerging defence technologies, indigenous military systems, drone warfare, and future operational readiness.
Officials also stressed the importance of self-reliance in defence manufacturing under the government’s “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” initiative.

Rajnath Singh was received at Jaipur airport by Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma along with Deputy Chief Ministers Diya Kumari and Prem Chand Bairwa. Several BJP leaders and senior officials were also present during the visit.
