A team from the museum met Kaur to take precise body measurements and capture detailed photographs and videos, which will serve as reference materials for creating the wax figure.

According to curator and founder Anoop Srivastava, Kaur was “extremely humble, patient, and cooperative” during the sessions and expressed genuine interest in the wax-figure creation process; she also promised to attend the unveiling ceremony with her family.

The museum located inside the historic Nahargarh Fort in Jaipur already features wax figures of iconic sports personalities such as Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Saina Nehwal and Sandeep Singh. With Kaur’s statue, the institution aims to strengthen its representation of inspirational sports figures and make a historic inclusion by honouring a female cricketer.

For Kaur, the recognition is deeply meaningful. “I want to thank the Jaipur Wax Museum team for honouring me with a wax figure,” she said, adding that the tribute motivates her to take on more responsibilities and “continue doing good work for the country.” She also shared her excitement at the prospect of seeing herself in wax, and expressed hope to visit Jaipur with her family once the statue is unveiled.

The museum project celebrates not only Kaur’s outstanding achievements including leading India’s women’s team to global success but also represents a broader push to spotlight women achievers and offer role models to young girls across the country.
