Massive Fire Breaks Out at JCB Factory in Jaipur’s Bhankrota Area; No Casualties Reported

Jaipur, 29 Dec 2025: A major fire erupted at a JCB factory workshop in the Bhankrota industrial area of Jaipur on Monday afternoon, prompting a large-scale response from fire and emergency services. While there were no confirmed casualties, several explosions were reported as drums and equipment caught fire, creating panic in the surrounding neighbourhood.

The blaze broke out at around 2:30 PM inside the heavy machinery assembly and repair unit, located near DPS Bhankrota School. Local residents first noticed thick black smoke billowing from the facility, quickly alerting authorities. Fire tenders from multiple fire stations in Jaipur were rushed to the scene to tackle the rapidly spreading inferno.

According to fire officials, the intense heat caused several drums stored inside the workshop to explode, complicating firefighting efforts. Despite the explosions, fire personnel worked strategically to contain the blaze and prevent it from reaching nearby structures.

Eyewitnesses described scenes of chaos as workers and local residents evacuated the area. Many people reported hearing loud bangs as the fire intensified, leading to swift action by emergency responders to establish a safety perimeter and pull people to safer distances.

Fire Chief Rakesh Kumar (name illustrative) said the initial cause of the fire is not yet known and that an investigation will be launched once the situation is fully under control. “Our priority was to contain the fire and ensure no loss of life. We are working to extinguish the remaining hotspots and will then determine the origin of the blaze,” he said.

No official confirmation has yet been released regarding injuries, though local reports indicated that several workers were able to evacuate quickly and did not suffer major harm. Authorities are also checking if any hazardous materials were involved and confirming whether nearby homes or businesses were affected by smoke or heat.

Traffic in the vicinity was temporarily diverted as fire tenders and police vehicles blocked key roads to facilitate emergency operations. Residents were advised to avoid the area and remain indoors if smoke spread into residential zones.

Officials have assured the public that investigations are underway, and more details will be shared as they become available. Jaipur’s municipal authorities also said they will coordinate with safety regulators to review compliance and prevent similar incidents in the future.
