Missing-Education Minister Posters Ignite Outrage in Jaipur over Student’s Death Case

Jaipur, 10 Dec 2025: The walls of Jaipur have become the unlikely canvas for a sharp protest after posters declaring the state Education Minister “missing” surfaced across the city, raising serious concerns over inaction and silence in the wake of child tragedies.

The campaign was reportedly organised by social activists and parent groups in the wake of the death of 9-year-old Amaira, a student at the Neerja Modi School. The child’s suicide allegedly linked to bullying occurred nearly 39 days ago, but despite assurances of a transparent probe, parents and guardians say neither a credible investigation nor any punitive action has followed.

Posters were put up at prominent locations across Jaipur including public thoroughfares, near official buildings, and at key junctions with slogans demanding immediate justice and highlighting the “absence” of the top education official, Madan Dilawar. Protesters claim that the minister has been “out of sight, out of mind” ever since the tragic incident.

According to the protest organisers, the move is part of a broader campaign under the banner “Parivartan Sanstha,” which has vowed to stand with affected families until justice is delivered. They demand strict action against the school administration, public disclosure of the investigation report, and government-wide reforms to ensure children’s safety and accountability in private institutions.

Parents and guardians, deeply shaken by Amaira’s untimely death, say the lack of transparency and delayed action have exacerbated their grief leading them to raise their voices publicly in hopes of forcing the authorities into action.

As tension mounts, the public eye is now fixed on whether the state government and the education department will respond to the demands and whether the person who approved or ignored the policies will be held accountable.
