Rajasthan, March 10, 2026: Vallabh Maheshwari, Managing Director of the Jaipur-based Shakun Group, died in a tragic road accident after the BMW he was travelling in overturned on the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway in Rajasthan’s Alwar district on Sunday. He was 62.
According to police officials, the accident occurred around 4 PM near milestone 136.8 in the Raini police station area when the luxury car lost control while travelling at high speed. The vehicle reportedly rammed into roadside barricades, crossed the road divider and eventually crashed into a culvert wall before overturning.
Maheshwari was travelling from Jaipur to Mathura for a religious visit when the incident took place. His driver was behind the wheel at the time of the crash. Both occupants were rushed to a nearby hospital following the accident, where doctors declared Maheshwari dead due to severe injuries. The driver reportedly survived the accident with minor injuries.
Police officials have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash. Preliminary reports suggest that the vehicle may have lost control due to overspeeding or possible mechanical issues, though authorities are examining all aspects, including vehicle condition and CCTV footage from the expressway.
Vallabh Maheshwari was a prominent businessman from Jaipur and served as the Managing Director of Shakun Group, a diversified business conglomerate involved in sectors such as advertising, infrastructure, real estate and hospitality. With more than three decades of experience in corporate leadership and management, he was considered a respected figure in the region’s business community.
The news of his sudden demise has sent shockwaves across Rajasthan’s business circles. Several political leaders and industry figures expressed condolences to his family. Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot described the incident as “heartbreaking” and extended his sympathies to the bereaved family.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident as the family prepares for Maheshwari’s last rites in Jaipur.
