Jaipur, March 31, 2026: Two students from Jaipur have developed a digital platform aimed at helping defence families easily access government welfare schemes and benefits.
Kanishk Rungta and Krishaa Rungta, Grade 11 students of Jayshree Periwal International School, have created “Veer Sahara,” an online platform designed to simplify the process of identifying and applying for government schemes available to members of the defence community.
The initiative seeks to bridge the gap between government welfare programs and their intended beneficiaries by providing a streamlined, user-friendly interface for ex-servicemen, widows, dependents and families of martyrs.
According to the developers, many eligible families often struggle to claim benefits because of limited awareness and complex procedures involved in applying for different schemes. The Veer Sahara platform aims to address this challenge by guiding users through the process and helping them identify relevant schemes.
The platform allows users to fill out a simple step-by-step form or use an AI-assisted interface that verbally guides them through the application process. Based on the information provided, the system identifies applicable government schemes and awards and provides direct application links.
To ensure wider accessibility, Veer Sahara is available in both English and Hindi, making it easier for users from different backgrounds to navigate the platform. The developers say the system reduces dependency on intermediaries and helps families receive benefits more efficiently.
Speaking about the motivation behind the project, Kanishk Rungta said that despite numerous government initiatives, many defence families face difficulties accessing benefits due to lack of awareness and complicated procedures.
“Veer Sahara is our attempt to simplify this journey and make support more accessible and transparent,” he said.
Krishaa Rungta added that the initiative goes beyond technology and aims to provide dignity and convenience to families who have contributed significantly to the nation.
By simplifying access to welfare programs and providing clear guidance, the platform hopes to ensure that eligible defence families can claim the benefits they deserve without unnecessary delays or confusion.
